is a musical chameleon whose virtuosity allows him to move between styles with ease and panache. John is a founding member of the Desert Rose Band, the Hellecasters, and six-year member of Elton John's band. Artists ranging from Barbra Streisand to Bonnie Raitt to Earl Scruggs have sought out Jorgenson's guitar work. Recently, he was chosen to portray Django Reinhardt in the feature film Head in the Clouds.
Although perhaps better known in the pop, country and rock world, gypsy jazz is the style of music closest to John’s heart. Since 2001 Orchestra Nashville has been commissioning works that featured John and will be releasing a studio album of those works in the fall of 2008.

is a powerful musical spirit. As a Grammy-nominated artist, award-winning songwriter, and a first-call session musician, Darrell occupies his own unique half-acre in this city’s crowded musical landscape and stands out as a refreshingly mischievous artist.
For the NCO’s Acoustic Café Series, he is working closely with Music Director Paul Gambill to choose guest artists and help shape the programs. He premiered his new song-cycle, This Begger’s Heart, at the November, 2006, Acoustic Café performance.
We will be releasing a live album of the best of Darrell's concerts from the 2006-2008 Acoustic Cafe concerts in the fall of 2008. To listen to the first single from that album and pre-order your copy of the CD or download, visit the Orchestra Nashville Uncovered ArtistShare project.
